Draft: this hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet, and may change before launch.

League Crest helps rec sports teams and leagues run their seasons: rosters, schedules, who's coming, chat, dues and more. This policy says what League Crest ("we") collects, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@leaguecrest.com.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, and your sign-ins (when, from which browser or app, and the IP address).
  • Rosters: what a team or league enters about its players, which can include you before you've signed in: name, email, phone number, jersey number, position, and roles like sub, goalie or manager.
  • Playing: your answers about games, duties, and what's recorded during games: scores, goals, assists, penalties and suspensions.
  • Messages: team chat messages and photos, league and team messages, and the reports and blocks people make.
  • Money: charges and payments recorded between teams, players, leagues and officials, with their notes. Card and bank details go to Stripe, never to us.
  • Officials: certification level and expiry, days off, assignments and pay.
  • Notifications: your choices, quiet hours and time zone; your devices' push tokens; and, if you turn texts on, your mobile number, your YES, and the texts we send and you reply with.
  • Typed game descriptions: when a manager types a game out ("game vs the wolves friday 7pm") to fill in the schedule, that text and the team's names go to Anthropic's Claude to read it.

How we use it

To run League Crest: showing your team and league what they need, sending the reminders and notifications you've chosen, recording payments, keeping chat safe (the word filter, reports and blocks), stopping abuse, and answering your questions. We don't sell your information, there are no ads, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who sees it

  • Your team and league: the people on your team see its roster, who's coming, chat, duties and dues, and a league's admins see its teams' rosters and fees.
  • Anyone: a league's public pages show its schedule, standings, teams and player stats with short names ("Mike S."), and a game's live score link shows its goals the same way.
  • Companies that run parts of the service for us, using it only for that: Render (hosting), Postmark (email), Stripe (card and bank payments), Twilio or Telnyx (texts), Apple and Google (push notifications), Anthropic (reading typed game descriptions), and our file storage provider (photos).
  • Texts: we don't share mobile numbers or text consent with anyone, including affiliates, for their marketing.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect people's safety.

Your choices

  • Pick email, push and text for each kind of notification, and quiet hours, on the Account page.
  • Reply STOP to any text to stop them, and HELP for help.
  • Report or block people in team chat.
  • Delete your account on the Account page. We delete your login, contact details, texts and chat messages, and your name on past games becomes "Former player" so team histories still add up.
  • To correct what's on a roster, ask your team's manager, or email us.

Keeping it safe

There are no passwords to steal: you sign in with a code or link we email you. Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS), and only the people who run League Crest can see its data, to support it.

Children

League Crest is for adult leagues and isn't meant for children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email too.
